Looking for a game that gets everyone talking at a wedding, birthday party or office event? Anyone can play bingo, and with a bingo card generator you can make your own printable bingo cards in minutes – with your own squares, colors and title.
What the bingo card generator can do
The ElisGrid bingo generator turns your list of squares into unique bingo cards. Every card has the squares in a different order, so not everyone wins at once. You download the finished cards as an A4 PDF and print them at home or at a print shop.
- Your own squares – write up to 75 squares or pick from ready-made ideas for weddings, birthdays, company events and kids.
- 5 × 5 or 4 × 4 cards – a bigger card for a longer game, a smaller and quicker one for kids.
- Free space in the middle – with your own text and a star, heart, smiley, diamond or gift icon.
- Your own design – title and subtitle, dozens of fonts, grid and text colors and a card background.
- Up to 200 unique cards in one PDF – each card on its own A4 page.
How to make bingo cards online in 4 steps
1. Choose a background
Start with the look of the card. Pick one of the background templates, or keep the card plain white to save ink.
2. Write a title
The title and subtitle tell everyone what the bingo is for – for example “Wedding Bingo” and “Emma & James, 12 June 2027”. Choose a font and color that match your event.
3. Fill in the squares
A 5 × 5 card with a free space in the middle needs 24 squares, without the free space 25, and a 4 × 4 card needs just 16. If you write more squares, the generator randomly picks a different selection for each card, so the cards differ even more. You can also add a BINGO header above the grid – each letter then sits above one column.
4. Choose the number of cards and download the PDF
Set how many cards you need – ideally one for each player or team. You can flip through the cards in the preview and shuffle them. After you order, you will receive an email with a link to download your PDF.
Bingo ideas for every occasion
Wedding bingo
Wedding bingo keeps guests entertained all day long. Fill the squares with moments that usually happen at a wedding: someone cries during the ceremony, the groom dances with his grandma, a glass gets broken, the bride kicks off her shoes or someone catches the bouquet. For more inspiration, see 30 wedding entertainment ideas for guests.
Birthday bingo
At a birthday party, try squares like the birthday person blows out all the candles at once, someone sings “Happy Birthday” off-key, a balloon pops or someone tells an embarrassing story. Add a few squares only your friends will understand – those are usually the funniest.
Office bingo
For meetings, conferences or team building, try buzzword bingo: someone says “synergy”, the microphone doesn’t work, there’s way too much text on a slide. Squares such as “Find someone from another department” help colleagues get to know each other. You will find more tips in our article on team building icebreaker games.
Bingo for kids
For kids, choose the smaller 4 × 4 card and short, simple squares: a dog barks, a bird flies by, someone makes a funny face or find someone who has a pet. Bingo works well at a kids’ party, in the classroom or on a trip. If you are celebrating at home, take a look at our indoor birthday party games for kids.
Bingo rules: how to play
Every player gets their own card and a pen. As soon as a square comes true, the player marks it. The first person to mark a full row, column or diagonal shouts “Bingo!” and wins. For a longer game, keep playing until someone has marked the whole card.
There are several ways to play bingo:
- Event bingo – players watch what happens at the event and mark the situations as they occur. Perfect for weddings and parties.
- Icebreaker bingo – squares describe people (“Find someone who…”), so players have to talk to each other. The person who matches signs the square.
- Classic called bingo – a host reads the squares out one by one in random order and players look for them on their cards.
Tips for great bingo
- Mix easy and harder squares. If everything is too easy, the game is over in five minutes. If it’s too hard, nobody wins.
- Keep it short. A square should be readable at a glance – a few words is ideal.
- Write more squares than fit on one card. The cards will then differ not only in order but also in content.
- Tailor the bingo to your guests. Names, shared memories and inside jokes make the game personal.
- Have prizes ready. A small reward for the first three winners makes the game much more exciting.
- Print on thicker paper and have pens or markers ready next to the cards.
Bingo card generator FAQ
How many squares do I need?
A 5 × 5 card needs 24 squares with a free space and 25 without. A 4 × 4 card needs 16. You can write up to 75 squares in total.
How many bingo cards do I get?
One PDF can contain 1 to 200 unique cards. Each card is on its own A4 page.
Can I edit my bingo after paying?
Yes. You have 7 days after purchase to change the design – title, fonts, colors, background or number of cards – and you can save up to 3 versions. The squares themselves can no longer be changed after purchase, so double-check them before you order.
Can I print the bingo cards at home?
